“Maybe Not,” written by Colleen Hoover, is a novella that tells the story of two completely mismatched roommates, Warren and Bridgette. While Bridgette is cold and distant, Warren is outgoing and charismatic. Their living situation sparks constant tension, but Warren becomes convinced that Bridgette’s intense capacity for hate might also mean she is capable of intense love. As Warren attempts to test his theory, he and Bridgette explore if they might find a way to fall for each other.
