THE HUNGRY TIDE

Set in the treacherous mangrove forests of the Sundarbans in India, The Hungry Tide follows the intersection of three lives. Piya Roy, an Indian-American marine biologist, arrives in the tide country to study a rare dolphin species. Kanai Dutt, a wealthy and urbane Delhi businessman, is visiting his aunt to retrieve a journal from his late uncle. When Piya falls into the crocodile-infested water, she is rescued by Fokir, an illiterate but insightful local fisherman.
